PDA has secured planning permission on behalf of Wates Construction for six schools across the South East funded under the Government’s Priority Schools Building Programme (PSBP).

In total six schools were subject to almost concurrent planning applications in Ashford, Brentwood, Cambridge, Canterbury, Ramsgate and Watford. All six projects have now received planning permission.

"This commission involved resourcing six complex schemes to tight timescales. Each school raised unique planning challenges and it was also interesting to see how the six individual local authorities approached the applications and applied their decidedly different practices and processes to the projects. The pressures of the PSBP to deliver also meant that the post-permission processes of discharging conditions and dealing with design amendments formed an important element of delivering these projects."
