Planning permission obtained on appeal for a 23-bed apart-hotel in a converted listed building in Islington.

 

Key issues included the extent to which the integrity of the listed building would be compromised by the conversion, and whether this would be outweighed by the economic benefits that would derive from a reuse of a former school building.  The appeal decision confirmed that creating a use for the building was more beneficial.
